Overview
Aindly is built by Embrella Labs. Aindly scans food and drink barcodes and ingredient labels, then organises product information around the ingredient watch-outs and highlights you choose. We respect your privacy, collect only what is necessary to provide the service, and never sell your personal data.
Information We Collect
Depending on your usage, we may collect:
- In-app purchase history — to verify your subscription or purchase status, where purchases or subscriptions are offered (processed via RevenueCat).
- Crash logs, diagnostics, and app statistics — to identify bugs, understand reliability, and improve performance. This data is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
- Local app data — such as scanned food and drink product details, ingredient results, ingredient watch-outs and highlights, optional notes, and scan history. This data is stored locally on your device only. We never upload it to our servers.
We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal identifier unless you explicitly provide it.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver and improve app functionality
- To process and validate in-app purchases
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
Notifications
With your permission, Aindly may send local notifications for app reminders, where offered. We do not send marketing or remote push notifications.
Third-Party Services
Aindly may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management. Receives anonymised purchase history.
- Apple / Google — app distribution, payment processing, and crash reporting.
Data Security
All data transmitted to third-party services (such as RevenueCat) is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. Local app data — including scanned food and drink products, ingredient results, ingredient watch-outs and highlights, optional notes, and scan history — is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not maintain an account system, there is no user profile to delete. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
App Privacy Details
- Purchase history — collected by RevenueCat to validate subscriptions or purchases, if offered. Linked to your identity.
- Crash data and app statistics — collected anonymously for diagnostics, reliability, and performance improvement. Not linked to your identity.
Aindly is a food, drink, and ingredient scanner. Scanned products, ingredient details, ingredient preferences, scan results, optional notes, and scan history are stored on your device only and are not uploaded to Embrella Labs servers. Aindly does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, health data, or browsing history.
Children's Privacy
Aindly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
